Publications

My publications investigate how linguistic information is organized across multiple channels in sign languages and what this reveals about human language and cognition. The work spans three interconnected research areas, combining theoretical, experimental, and computational approaches.

Research Areas

Linguistic structure Linguistic Structure, Simultaneity, and Meaning

Semantics, pragmatics, prosody, and information structure across manual and nonmanual articulators, including certainty, focus, aspect, and modality in sign languages. Explore this research →

Language experience Language Experience, Production, and Processing

Age-of-acquisition effects on linguistic production and judgments, the relationship between sign language experience and visual attention, and the quantitative analysis of articulatory movement. Explore this research →

Computational modeling Computational Modeling and Linguistic Evaluation

Linguistically grounded evaluation of sign language models, minimal translation pairs, and computational methods for analyzing linguistic structure. Explore this research →
